ドイツの書体デザイナー、ヘルマン・ツァップ氏(1918-2015)のスケッチと思想をまとめたメモリアルブック。本書は彼が亡くなった2015年に企画されたもので、彼が第二次世界大戦中の兵役中に描き溜めたスケッチブック三冊の内容をそのまま複写して復刻させるというもの。出版費用はクラウドファンディングのKickstarterで集められ賛同者にのみ配布された。本書は三冊分のスケッチブックを一冊にまとめた通常版でオリジナルと同じ大きさ、オールカラーで収録。今まで日の目を見ることのなかった若きツァップの筆致が再現されている。
