Lord Inventor - Fidel Castro

Trinidadの良質なCalypsoをリリースしていたことで有名な、UKの名門レーベル”Kay”から1961年にリリースされたBad Vocal Tune ! 
この曲は、Skaファンにはお馴染みの“Rosita”の1st テイクで、“Cecil Fitt & His Orchestra”が演奏するホーンセクションが良い感じに効いて、出だしからめちゃカッコ良いWickedなCalypso Vocal曲です！ 
スカのテイクは、後年(1964年)にセルフカヴァーしたものだと思われます。 
(その時の演奏は”The Skatalites”) 
 
 
B面は、別曲。
 
「Watty Watkins Orchestra - Hanging Tree」 
こちらの面はインストで、ちょっと早めのカリプソ曲です。 
Big Band特有のゴージャスな音がたまりません！ 
“Cook”の曲など50’sのCalypsoとMixできそうですね。 
この曲が彼の代表曲と言われています。 
 
 
オークション等でもほとんど見かけない1枚。 
次に出合えるのは いつでしょうか？

Condition : 
[A面] VG- 
盤の見た目は、うすいスレ・スリキズあります。 
音の方は、出だしの無音部分でうっすらジリノイズ・プチノイズありますが、音の抜けがとても良く、良好です！ 
レーベルにダメージ・スレあり。 
[B面] VG- ~ VG 
盤の見た目は、A面と同様に、うすいスレ・スリキズがあります。 
音の方は、出だしの無音部分〜イントロ部分でうっすらジリ・プチパチがありますが、音の抜けがとても良く、良好です！ 
レーベルにダメージ・スレあり。 
UK Press 
 * 保管に起因するStorage Bendがホンのごくわずかありますが、全く問題ありません。
